Is it important to consider editing during the storyboarding phase of film production because it helps organize the sequence of events in the narrative. The objective of this exercise is to showcase editing planning in the storyboarding phase of production, demonstrating sequencing of time and space to effectively communicate to an audience. My team created a storyboard with various editing techniques to demonstrate our understanding of how to include editing in a storyboard. Shot Reverse Shot, Eyeline Match, and Jump Cut are all examples of editing techniques. A director would use shot reverse shot to highlight the relationships between the characters or to convey how the characters are feeling. Eyeline match would be used by a director to give insight into two characters. A director would use Jumpcut to maintain or increase audience engagement in a film. The result of the storyboard was satisfactory and there was minimal time spent, completing this task in about 2 days.
